Spellings

Children will receive weekly spellings to practice at home. They will be a mix of the phonic sounds, spellings and rules that the children have been learning throughout the week. We complete lots of spellings within our daily phonic lessons so will not send out too many each week to reflect this. We will test the children on their spelling knowledge, however this will not be on a set day or time each week.

Please discuss with your child what group they are in and which adult is leading their group. We intend to change which adult leads each group throughout the year and will prompt the children to discuss this with adults at home. Each spelling document will be named as the groups lead adult for ease.

New spellings will appear every Friday. Please practice these at home as much as possible.
