Meet our school dogs, Millie and Milo
Meet our school dogs, Millie and Milo who are both Cocker Spaniels. They belong to Mrs Moreton. They are fully vaccinated and both have regular health visits to the vets. The children love seeing them around school.
We regularly welcome the dogs into school and we believe there are many benefits to the children in having a school dog. Some examples of this are shown below:
- Dogs teach children patience – they do not always do as they are told first time!
- Dogs teach children compassion – just like us, dogs feel pain and emotion.
- Dogs teach children about socialisation – through the children learning how to interact with a dog they can learn how to socialise with other children.
- Dogs are fun – they greet you with a wagging tail every day and put a smile on your face, even on a bad day.
