  • Learning in EYFS and Year 1

Below you will find the statutory framework for the EYFS curriculum alongside information for parents/carers to help support your child during their first year at school.

Our Foundation Stage children follow the EYFS curriculum, which consists of the three Prime Areas of learning and development - Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language Development and Physical Development. There are the specific areas of learning – Literacy, Maths, Understanding the World, Expressive Art and Design.

Year 1 pupils follow the National Curriculum Programme of Study. We have designed the structure of our Year 1 curriculum to develop the children's skills and knowledge from Foundation Stage through a range of subjects.
